Pajarito Mountain/Cat

Nathan and I went up to Pajarito Mountain today to see the Aspens and hang out by the ski hill.  It was Such a beautiful day, and there was a wonderful, very friendly calico cat! :)  It was great to walk around and enjoy the fresh fall day!

FUNd Run

Formula One

Watched a Formula One race for the first time today!  It was exciting, though not as exciting as I thought it would be.  53 laps takes longer than one would imagine, and they have to slow down for so many curves, it's not as fast and raucous a race I was expecting. It was fun to hangout with friends though and do something new! :)

Sleepy Day

Mama Deer and Two Baby Deer

I had a mama deer and two baby deer by my room all day.  I never got a picture because I was afraid that if I left to get a camera, they would leave. :)  They were so cute though! Seeing deer and nice wild animals (from afar) are the best part about living in Los Alamos I think!

Ghost

My students made a cute ghost out of Legos to put with our class pumpkins. Very cute!!

Miniature Pumpkins

The parent who came in to help carve also brought in a mini pumpkin for each student to decorate. So cool! The students had to use permanent markers which made me very nervous, but they did great!

Had a great time at my school carnival tonight!!  Made a makeshift Minion costume which turned out relatively alright. :)

Adorable Pumpkins

Thanks to a helpful parent and their generosity as well, we got to carve two of our garden pumpkins today, and draw on some little ones my parent helper brought as well! So fun!

Rocky Mountain National Park

What an Amazing time we had in RMNP!! So beautiful.  The drive up Fall Ridge Road was amazing, and the picnic was absolutely wonderful!

Thanks to a wonderful co-worker who gave me most of the items I needed, we made Chicken Tortilla Soup this weekend. Yum!! :)

Wonderful Rain

Thank goodness for some rain!! It rained so much in June, and then so little afterwards.  We woke up to a beautiful, cloudy, rainy morning. Hooray!

GRE Celebration

Nathan took his GRE today and did very well! :)  We found a Belgian brewery that we really wanted to try, (think "Poirot!") so we did after his test. :)

Nathan got the Grunewald.  Smelled good and tasted yummy!

Flowers on the Tree

Our lemon tree has lots and lots of blossoms! Hoping for lots and lots of lemons!! :)

Birthday Pumpkin

It was a student's birthday today, and she put her birthday crown on the pumpkin we just harvested from our class garden.  Quite cute!
