Whoo's Donuts

Had a donut in Santa Fe on Saturday. It was AMAZING! I think it was baked, not fried. I didn't feel sick at all after I ate the donut, which is usually the case.

Botanical Gardens

We went to the Santa Fe Botanical Gardens today. So pretty!!! We got some really great gardening and landscaping ideas for the future.

I really think this yucca plant looks like he needs a name... :)

A very generous student gave me a gift card to the Blue Window today, the last day of school. Nathan and I went there for dinner, and it was so great! The atmosphere, service, and food were all spectacular. We sat outside by the fountain. We really enjoyed ourselves. :)

Last Day of School

The last day of school went great, but it's quite bittersweet. I really loved my class, and I will miss them quite a lot! It's sad seeing my room all empty and packed up for the summer. Until August my lovely room!

Ms. Frizzle

A longtime teaching goal was achieved today! I was walking down the hall after school, and one of my lovely 2nd grade students I see occasionally for Geography saw me and said, "Hi Ms. Frizzle! I mean, Hi Mrs. Miller! Gosh, I get you and Ms. Frizzle mixed up in my head all the time!" Lifelong teaching goal: To be a teacher like Ms. Frizzle = Accomplished!!!

Padrin

Welcome to the ceramic classroom family little Padrin! A student got this owl for me while he was in Spain last week! Very cool! I asked the kids what to name him and one little girl said, "Padrin." I think she was trying to say "pattern" because of the blocks on the base, but we all heard "Padrin," and Padrin stuck.
